The Celtic Chemise was a popular piece of clothing during the medieval period and often worn as an undergarment. It protected the outer garment from perspiration and would double up as a nightdress as well. This particular chemise has very long sleeves and ties at the shoulders and complements several dresses and gowns in our selection. It will probably look best with sleeveless dresses and bodices, which can highlight the details in the sleeve. The chemise is ideal for Renaissance fairs and reenactments.
