Scottish kilts - they're colorful, exotic, stylish... and just plain cool! In it's most original form, the kilt was a piece of clothing uniquely suited to the practical needs of Highlanders, and may have it's roots in the type of clothing worn by the numerous invaders as well. Nowadays, they are most often seen at ceremonies and official occasions ranging from weddings to military processions.
Colors and designs of the plaids used for kilts conveyed no specific meaning until the 18th Century. Kilts were originally pleated on the floor before being tied around the waist. We’ve made this attractive kilt easier for you to put on by sewing in the pleats. Made of acrylic wool.
